Weird Dream

Had several last night, but I only remember one. Someone Wes and I knew or a family member or something had died and left us their kid - little toddler with blond hair. I know no one who would have a blond kid that I can think of to start with, but... whatever. Anyway, we were taking care of her. She reminded me of my boss' boss' daughter, Emily - very sweet, mostly quiet, smart. We taught her what a big gulp was at one time and she kept asking for one. Weird.

So that's my bizarre dream. Bizarre mostly cuz I don't like kids much for extended periods of time. There are days when I think about strangling the puppies! (not really - my lack of patience just shows at around 3am when they decide to bounce around on the bed)

Dreaming of Beaches

...which is weird, since I've only been to one once, and it was too cold to do more than walk on the beach.

But for the second time recently, I had a dream last night of going to the beach (it was a small one with very few people) and staying in a kinda cool/weird hotel by it and dipping my toes in and walking on the sand. I wanna go! But I know I won't be, so... bah. Stupid dreams.

Yay!

Had a good dream last night. For some reason, Masi Oka (Hiro on Heroes) was over at a family gathering and we were apparently good friends. Yeah, it wasn't a complicated dream, but it made me happy. So there.

We get our new headboard today. Woot woot!

Driving

Had a bizarre dream last night. I don't remember a lot of it except that Wes and I were driving somewhere through an unfamiliar town. He was speeding, though not by a lot. A cop pulled us over and for whatever reason, we had to stay in the town overnight. We went to an outdoor cafe because we were sort of herded to it. I then decided that for some reason John and Lee (my dad's parents) were behind the whole thing. Sure enough, we saw them walking into the courtyard where the restaurant was awhile later. Can't remember anything after that, but it was a little on the weirdo side.

Bad Dream

Had an awful dream last night that papau had died and mom and I were at g&p’s house. Kathy wasn’t there for some reason. Grandma kept trying to act normal and make little jokes, but she was never really smiling. She just seemed sort of lost wandering around the house.

At the beginning of the dream, I knew what had happened, but I can’t remember now. I finally couldn’t take talking to grandma anymore and went into papau’s room. I got one of his suit jackets out of the closet and pretended he was there telling me about the stuff in the closet, taking it out and showing it to me. Mom came in and kind of broke the spell and I just curled up on his bed and cried. I wanted to keep pretending he was really there.

Actually woke up crying, and I don’t remember ever doing that before.

Anyway, paranoid about sleeping tonight. Finger is still bruisy and hurting but I needed to write this out.
