Winding Roads and Glam

Adam Lambert, originally uploaded by Norman Petrache.

My dream last night was a bizarre mix of the shows I'd been watching, the music I'd been listening to, and the stories I'd been reading.

It opened much like watching a movie. I can't remember the exact back story, but the main dude somehow wronged these other guys when he was a kid. There were four other kids - one the leader and three others that were hurt or whatever by what he did. Again, can't remember what in the world it was.

Then we cut to him grown up. Somehow the leader of the wronged group is out of the sanitarium or whatnot, and he's after the guy. The guy knows it and runs. Now I'm a part of the action and Otis (one of our dogs) and I are at his friend's house trying to help him plan a way to get out of it. We realize that the guy will be sending his lackeys in a particular order based on when/how they were hurt when they were kids. We all decide to go our separate ways and try to find help or something.

I take Otis and end up going to a small town grocery store to get some supplies. The place is super grungey and they're cleaning out a freezer stocked with meat that had gone bad because the freezer failed. Somehow I realize I'd been drinking beer (which I don't even drink) while driving and ditch it in their garbage can so no one knows.

We head back out on the road and then I get fuzzy on the order of events. The guy's girlfriend disappears, so we all go back to meet at the friend's house. When I get there, the place is pretty much empty like he packed up and lit out even though he was supposed to be there waiting for us. I get a little edgy and go back to the car.

At some point not long after (things get a bit muddled at this point), Adam Lambert shows up. Yeah, I know. I don't know why. But I'm not complaining. We find the girlfriend at some point, and she ends up getting a total crush on Adam. Apparently she's the only person in the world who doesn't realize he's gay and sort of throws herself at him. He's totally nice about it but, naturally, kinda blows her off as much as possible. We're all still trying to fix everything and save the dude and... then the alarm went off. I'm kinda bummed I didn't get to see what happened because I fell SURE that Adam would have used some sort of glam awesomeness to save us all.

Cheerleaders & Old Stemware

My dream began innocently enough. I was in high school... or something. For some reason most of the people around seemed to be cheerleaders. They were incessantly talking about a competition coming up. Cordelia Chase herself was even there practicing a ridiculously difficult routine involving a machine that looked like it belonged in a circus and would spin the person in it around and then let them go so they could land dramatically. When it went badly (duh!), she was trying to convince the coach that Buffy had sabotaged her.

One girl was pissed because her coach wanted her to cut down her 60 minute routine to only thirty. The other cheerleaders, naturally, were full of sympathy. My main problem personally was that I couldn't find about half my clothes. I wanted to wear a particular yellow shirt because I had decided that my clothing theme for the week (NO, I don't have those) was going to involve dressing to match a cool poster I had (that I don't have in real life, sadly).

At some point I ended up going with mom and Kathy to visit my grandma. Kathy drove us, and neither mom or I was nervous about that fact. Amazeballs! In any case, we got there and grandma said she had something important to tell us. That made us all sort of nervous, but we settled in and mom told her to let us know. It turned out she had just decided to move some old glasses from her wedding to papau into a different room. We were all a little WTF about why she was so dramatic about it, but also relieved that it was nothing bad.

Then we piled back into the car and Kathy started driving. I realized that instead of being where grandma actually lives, we were in Hamilton, TX. I kept asking why we were there, and Kathy looked at me like I was nuts for not realizing it was where grandma lives.

And then? You guessed it! Alarm.

Driving

Had a bizarre dream last night. I don't remember a lot of it except that Wes and I were driving somewhere through an unfamiliar town. He was speeding, though not by a lot. A cop pulled us over and for whatever reason, we had to stay in the town overnight. We went to an outdoor cafe because we were sort of herded to it. I then decided that for some reason John and Lee (my dad's parents) were behind the whole thing. Sure enough, we saw them walking into the courtyard where the restaurant was awhile later. Can't remember anything after that, but it was a little on the weirdo side.

Dreaming of Ohio

I had a dream last night that me and mom were driving along and suddenly I started to recognize houses and stuff. We went to the Big Bear first. Then when we went back to the car grandma and papau were there! Then I woke up.

P.S. We were in Ohio.
